Why you need to plan for your future now
It’s important that you know what you want to do in the future, and there’s no better time to start planning for that than now! If you want to be a doctor, musician, cook, writer, or veterinarian, start thinking and praying about it now. Read books and do research on the career you choose and start training and practicing so you can be ready for it in the future. If you know any people who are already doing the same thing that you want to do, then ask them questions and get information from them.
For some, it takes a long time to choose what they want to do, sometimes they just know immediately, and for others they pick and choose for years until they finally decide. But it’s best to choose now instead of waiting until you’re in college, so that when it’s time to begin your own career, you’ll know exactly how you want to start off. Remember that God put you here and whatever you become, any chance you get you should witness to everyone you meet so as to bring glory and honor to Him.
And whatever career or path you may have planned, it’s always best to ask God what He wants you to do, because “I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
