The Fruit of the Spirit – Love

The Bible tells us in Galatians 4:24 about the nine fruits of the Spirit:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Fruit One Is Love.
Love is the strongest of all virtues because everyone needs true love, and everyone also ought to give true love to others. The greatest love that was ever given was by God’s Son when He died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. John 3:16 says that: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” Imagine how hard it must have been for the Heavenly Father and our great Creator to have to give His only Son for us and then to forsake Him on the cross when we were the ones who really deserved to die.

That takes true love but God was loving enough to do it so that in our hearts could be His love when we accepted His Son into our hearts and let His light in. If you have not accepted God’s love into your heart, you are missing out on a whole lot because God’s love is the greatest experience anyone would want to know.

If you would like to experience this great love all you have to do is accept Jesus into your heart by praying a simple prayer asking Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart and change your life. And you know what, He will.

Then go out into the world and spread that same love to someone else. One of our favorite bands, The Beatles, said: “The love you take, is equal to the love you make.”
