A Different Kind of HERO

superhero

Zipping through the skyscrapers of New York, Spider-man comes to save the city from yet another monster villain; while Batman roars through the streets of Gotham to deliver its citizens from a terrifying fear; and Superman flies faster than a speeding bullet to protect his loved ones in Metropolis. But how did the greatest hero of all come? He came as a humble Baby, not only to deliver us from the darkness of sin, fear, and death, but to bring us afterwards into an eternal place of peace and light.

Despite all that our heroes here on Earth do for us, including police officers, firefighters, and the military – there is no one who can compare to the greatest hero of ALL. His name is Jesus Christ. In a world where chaos reigns and wars rage, He is the only one who can give us and the world complete peace.

To have the slightest chance of peace on our Earth and to be rescued from the monsters, terrifying fears, and evil that seeks to crush us, we must turn to Jesus and to Him alone to save us. With Jesus, we are only weak and incomplete bodies of dust. One moment we can be here alive, and the very next gone. It is not we who control our lives, but God.

To idolize something or someone else instead of our Creator is a terrible thing. God wants us to worship Him and give Him all the glory. We must remember as Peter Parker does every day: “With great power comes great responsibility.” Heroes of our Earth sometimes abuse their powers, but God never does. He always wants the best for us. He will never stop fighting for us. He is always, always, always on our side.

The name of Jesus is the one lever that lifts the world. – Author Unknown
