Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.
– Luke 16:10
Little things are important because little things often turn into big things.
Think about it.
A huge oak tree is first an acorn. An apple is first a seed.
A fire is first a flame. A ferocious lion is first a cub.
A song is first a note. A book is first a word.
An adult is first a child.
If we fail to pay attention to little things and little people, those little things and little people will fail to be all they were meant to be.
Perhaps you are doing something now that seems insignificant. No matter how little the task is, don’t give up on it. Don’t quit.
If God has called you to it, stick with it. Love it. Nurture it. Care for it. Believe in it. No matter how small. Walking away from less does not guarantee us more. When we are faithful in little things, God knows we will be faithful in big things.
