Our Loudest Cheerleader

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11

Encouragement is the oxygen of the soul.
John M. Maxwell

For many, there is hardly anything better than being told by someone else that we are doing a good job. When we are just about to quit at something, a word of encouragement can keep us going. Someone’s smile can brighten our miserable day. A genuine, unexpected hug can give us the strength to get through a tough time.

Time and time again, simple words or expressions of praise have pushed people to overcome an obstacle, run the last mile to finish a race, go through another day of chemo, try one more time to pursue their dream. The cheers of others give us the courage to continue.

And even when we can’t hear them, we should know that there is always someone rooting for us. Whether we do well or come up short, God is firmly in our corner. Whether we win or lose, God has our back. God is a constant encourager, a faithful friend, our biggest fan, and loudest cheerleader.

In this thing called life, God is rooting for us to succeed. He is 110% for us. He wants to see us prosper and not harmed. He wants us to live the good life each and every day.

It may not always seem like God is supporting us. At times when our dreams seem to have stalled and bad things happen to us, we may feel alone. But even in these times God is counting on us to make a comeback. Someone once said, “God will wreck your plans when He sees that your plans are about to wreck you.” Even in times of difficulty, God is working everything out for our good so that we may have the victory in the end.

Be encouraged. Keep the faith. God wants you to win!
