My name is Zandra Azariah (Az-ah-rye-ah) Cunningham. I am a 13-year-old kid entrepreneur. I am a 8th grader who loves to read, dance and do gymnastics; but most of all, I love to be beautiful!
At the age of nine, I joined the Kids Biz Small Business Development Center program at Buffalo State College in Buffalo, NY during the spring of 2010. I credit the Kids Biz program for teaching me some of the basic principles of business; such as, business development, marketing, finances and how to select a business that I am passionate about.
Motivated and focused, I, with some assistance from my family started my business making lip balms and whipped shea butter days before my 10th birthday. I began to sell my products at the local farmer markets on Saturdays in the summer of 2010.
Two years later, my business, Azariah’s Innocence had become an inspiration to many other young children. I began to receive admiration from many local business owners. My Azariah’s Innocence products are constantly being solicited to participate in local and prominent vending events. My company now has its own distribution site in Buffalo, NY and my products can also be purchased online. I have been very busy working on creating an assortment of creative luxurious hair care products, bath bombs, body butters and delicious smelling lip balms made with imported cocoa butter, shea butter and a ton of natural goodies.
I believe all young ladies should be confident with just being themselves and learn what beauty is from the inside out.
I aspire to have my products promote relaxation, healthy hair, and luminous skin; including providing my customers with the peace of mind that all my products are made using the finest natural ingredients, natural butters, and premium essential oils. None of my products contain parabens or sulfates. It is important to me that my customers have confidence in the effectiveness and use of my products.
