Women of the Word: Jemimah, Keziah, and Keren-Happuch

A few days ago we took a look at Job’s wife. Now we can look at Job’s second set of daughters. Besides the fact that they died, we don’t know much about the first three daughters of Job. We don’t even know their names. But chapter 42:12-16 tells us that after his misery was over, God blessed Job with three more daughters and “in all the land were found no women so beautiful” as them.

1. Jemimah, Keziah, and Keren-Happuch were given an inheritance along with their brothers. Jesus the Christ is the greatest champion of women ever. Males and females have equal status in His sight. He does not esteem one higher than the other. Job’s second three daughters received the same blessings as their brothers. As daughters of God, we also will be given an eternal inheritance (the same as our brothers in Christ), if we are obedient and faithful to Him.
