Augustus. Alexander. Napoleon. They conquered many lands and founded vast empires by trusting in their military strategies, horses, chariots, and legions of fighting men. David also had a lot of men and military equipment, but his trust was never in that. Every victory he had was because he trusted in the name of the Lord His God.

What do we trust in today? Chanel and hairspray? If we want to experience lasting success, if we want to live truly victorious lives, our trust should always be in God.

Focus Verse: Who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken. (5)

Who is holy enough to approach the throne of God? The truth is that no one is. But because of His mercy, God has made it so that all who are righteous in heart can come boldly to the throne of grace and ask for whatever they need. All those who strive to do what is right and all those who strive to do what is just will be answered by God. They will not be moved.
