Ezekiel 42
Focus Verse: Then he said to me, “The north and south rooms facing the temple courtyard are the priests’ rooms, where the priests who approach the Lord will eat the most holy offerings. There they will put the most holy offerings—the grain offerings, the sin offerings and the guilt offerings—for the place is holy. (13)

During his tour of the temple, Ezekiel is shown the rooms for the priests.

Ezekiel 43
Focus Verse: The glory of the Lord entered the temple through the gate facing east. (4)

Our bodies are temples too. We should keep ourselves clean and holy so that the Lord will not be loathe to fill us with His glory.

Ezekiel 44
Focus Verse: They are to teach my people the difference between the holy and the common and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean. (23)

The duty of priests, of pastors, and of all who minister is to teach God’s people the difference between the holy and the unholy. By rightly dividing the Word of truth, they are to show the difference between what is right and wrong, what is clean and unclean, what is godly and ungodly.

1 John 1
Focus Verse: If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. (10)

To pretend that we are perfect and without sin is to call God a liar, because His Word says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. There is none righteous, not even one. However, as followers of Jesus the Christ, we do not glory or continue in our sin because we have been redeemed out of darkness and brought into glorious light.
