Psalm 74
Focus Verse: It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter. (17)

The sea and springs and streams, the day and the night, the sun and moon, and all the seasons – God is the maker and ruler of them all. In light of all this power, Asaph asks God to rise up and defend His name and cause against His enemies.

Psalm 75
Focus Verse: We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds. (1)

We should join Asaph in praising God for the fact that He is near unto us. We should also be among those people who are constantly telling others of His wonderful deeds – the chief one being that He sent His Son to die for the sins of the world.

Psalm 76
Focus Verse: God is renowned in Judah; in Israel his name is great. (1)

The name of God is known for His mighty acts and victorious deeds.

Revelation 5
Focus Verse: And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. (9)

Through the blood that Jesus the Christ shed on the cross, people from every race, language, culture, and nation on earth were purchased to be a kingdom and priests unto God. Because the Lamb of God was killed, yet rose again, He alone is worthy to open the scroll’s seals.
