Matthew 6:1-18
We should not do good deeds only to be seen by others. Even when people are not watching us, we still need to tell the truth, do the right thing, and let our light shine, because our Father in Heaven is watching us. We practice our righteousness to please God, not ourselves or others.

When we pray, we are talking to God, so it doesn’t matter if others hear us or not. We can pray for one minute or for one hour. God doesn’t hear long prayers any better than he hears short prayers. He is more concerned with the content of our prayers than with the length of our prayers.

Favorite verse: (10) Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
