Matthew 8:18-34
(18-22) We may have to give up everything. We may be misunderstood by some. We may even have to give up our lives. The cost of following Jesus is high, but the rewards are truly priceless.

(23-27) When the disciples were in the middle of a storm, they became alarmed even though Jesus was with them in the boat. Now that He is back in heaven, Jesus has no need of sleep. When we are going through a difficult time, we need to remember that Jesus is always with us. He may be silent, but He is there. The winds and the waves still obey him.

Favorite verse: (27) And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?”
