New Testament In a Year: January 17 – Matthew 12:1-23

Matthew 12:1-23
(1-8) Jesus the Christ is Lord of the Sabbath and of every other day of the week as well. When we call Him Lord we acknowledge that He has power and authority over our days; He is the master and ruler of our lives. We can’t pick and choose which days of the week He influences because He controls them all.

(9-14) Do we value man-made rules and regulations over the healing of lives and the saving of souls? The Pharisees were more concerned with “keeping the Sabbath” than having Jesus the Christ restore a man’s withered hand.

Favorite verse: (21) And in his name the Gentiles will hope.”
