Mark 5:21-43
Jesus Heals a Woman and Jairus’s Daughter
What healed the woman who had the blood disease? Was it touching Jesus’ garments? No. It was her faith. The fact that she believed that touching Jesus’ garments would heal her is what made her well. She had no doubt in her mind that “if I touch even his garments, I will be made well” – and that’s exactly what happened.

The same goes for Jairus’ daughter. Because Jairus had faith that Jesus would (first) heal his daughter, and (second) raise his daughter from the dead, his daughter was made well and lived. Regardless of all the problems we find ourselves facing, we must not fear. We must not be faithless, but believing.

Favorite verse: (36) But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”
