New Testament In a Year: March 24 – Luke 2:25-52

Luke 2:25-52
(25-38) Jesus Presented at the Temple
For many long years, Simeon and Anna patiently and faithfully waited for the first coming of Christ. It is now our duty to await His second coming. One day, our eyes will see God’s salvation, light, and glory.

(39-52) The Return to Nazareth and The Boy Jesus in the Temple
The perfect Son submitted Himself to two sinful, imperfect human beings. The Creator of the universe was obedient to people He created. God was well pleased with Jesus and gave Him His favor because He was humble and had a servant’s heart. Nothing Christ did displeased His Father.

Favorite verse: (40) And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom. And the favor of God was upon him.
