New Testament In a Year: April 2 – Luke 7:31-50

Luke 7:31-50
(36-50) A Sinful Woman Forgiven
The perfect Son of God was not afraid to be touched by sinners. He ate with them, drank with them, healed them, and was their truest friend. As His followers, we should cast aside our self-righteous robes, and have no double standard toward who sinners are or what they have done. Simon the Pharisee thought that he was sinless enough to dine with and be near Jesus, but he did not consider the sinful woman worthy to even touch Jesus’ feet. Before judging others, we should first remember that we were once sinners before Christ made us saints.

Favorite verse: (50) And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
