New Testament In a Year: April 11 – Luke 11:29-54

Luke 11:29-54
(29-32) The Sign of Jonah
The greatest Man to ever walk the earth and the only one who lived a divine life was rejected by those He came to save.

(37-54) Woes to the Pharisees and Lawyers
Christ is not like those He rebuked. Instead of loading us down with burdens that are hard to bear, Christ offers to bear our burdens. He invites all who are weary to come to Him and find rest in Him, and exchange our heavy burdens for His easy yoke. He invites us to cast all our cares on Him, give all our troubles to Him, and be at peace in His provision.

Favorite verse: (35) Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness.
