Luke 14:25-35
(25-33) The Cost of Discipleship
Our love for God should surpass our love for ourselves, our family, and our friends. Whoever is not willing to leave everything and everyone behind, and put himself or herself at the back of the line, cannot be God’s disciple. We must die to ourselves and our plans and become alive to God’s will, purpose, and way. Following Jesus is not always easy and this is why He tells us to sit down and count the cost before we make a life-altering decision.
