Luke 15:11-32
The Parable of the Prodigal Son
All sinners are prodigals and God is the father. He is eager to welcome us back if we return to Him. He will celebrate with us if we repent. The father in this parable did not just rejoice over his son because he returned; he rejoiced because his son returned with a broken, repentant heart and a spirit that was sorry and expressed regret over his behavior. There is no rejoicing on God’s part when we remain dead and lost in sin. When we admit our faults, however, and humbly return to our Heavenly Father He will always receive us with an embrace. When we recognize we are not worth being called His sons and daughters then He will be glad and all that He has will also be ours.

Favorite verse: (24) For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.
