John 8:1-27
(1-11) The Woman Caught in Adultery
The scribes and the Pharisees sought to condemn (and kill) people who they considered to be sinful. Christ was just the opposite. He did not come into the world to condemn it, but to save it. He did not come to kill sinners, but to forgive them. Even though we are far from righteous, Christ does not condemn us and He does not hold our sin against us. Once we come to Him for salvation, He forgets all our wrongdoing and gives us a clean future.

(12-27) I Am the Light of the World
To know the Son is to know the Father. To know Christ is to know God. To know the Light of the world is to know the Creator of the world. There is no darkness in them at all, only life.

Favorite verse: (11) She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”
