(1-14) I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life
Regardless of what happens to us in this world, if our belief is in God our hearts do not have to be troubled. We know that we are forgiven. We know that we are redeemed. We know that we are loved. We know that we are not alone. A better and perfect place is being prepared for us. When it is completed, Christ will come again and take us to this perfect place to live with Him forever. Because we know Christ, we know His Father, God, as well. And when we see Christ, we will also see God.
(15-31) Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
Christ dwells in us and will be with us forever through the Holy Spirit which God has sent to help us. Walking the straight and narrow road is hard, but the journey is made somewhat easier with the knowledge that we do not walk it on our own. When Christ ascended to Heaven, He did not leave us alone. He came to us again through the Holy Spirit. If we have difficulty understanding parts of Scripture, we can pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach us all things and remind us of the promises of God.
Because Christ lives, we will live forever too.
Do not be troubled. Do not be afraid. Death does not have the final say over us.
Favorite verse: (27) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
