Philippians 4
(2-9) Exhortation, Encouragement, and Prayer
Once again, Paul encourages Christian believers to rejoice. Rejoicing at all times is only possible if we rejoice in the Lord. If we look to the world or to ourselves or to another person for joy, we will not find it. Only Christ gives everlasting joy.

Believers are to make their requests, needs, wants, dreams, and desires known to God by prayer. Don’t be anxious about anything. Don’t sit around worrying about your future or your present or your past. Exchange your problems for peace by giving it all to God. Instead of allowing our minds to be filled with negativity, we should instead think on things that are true and pure and lovely.

(10-20) God’s Provision
Christ gave Paul strength to be content in whatever situation he was in. Whether he had a lot or a little, his confidence was in God for all his needs to be met. God is willing and more than able to supply every need that we have through the riches of His glory in Christ.

Favorite verse: (19) And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
