1 Thessalonians 1
Paul begins and/or ends most of his letters by bidding grace and peace to those he is writing to. We all could use more of God’s grace and peace in our lives, and we should not forget to extend grace to others when they need it.
(2-10) The Thessalonians’ Faith and Example
The faith of the Thessalonian believers was evident to all by the godly lives that they lived and from the godly example that they both followed and set. It was not necessary for Paul to talk about the Thessalonians’ faith to others, because everyone everywhere knew about their faith from their example. Because of their good witness, Paul was always thanking God for them, praying for them, and remembering them. When we imitate the Lord, our lives will become a bright and shining example for others to follow.
