New Testament In a Year: October 14 – 1 Thessalonians 3

1 Thessalonians 3
(1-5) Due to the affliction that he was suffering, Paul was unable to visit the Thessalonian Christians to see how they were doing in the faith. So he sent Timothy on his behalf. He did not want them to be worried or distraught about his affliction because it was to be expected.

(6-13) Timothy’s Encouraging Report
When Timothy returned to Paul from the Thessalonian Christians, he was able to give a positive report on their faith and love. They did not fall away from doing the work of God just because Paul was not with them. Instead, they were found to be standing fast in Him.

Favorite verse: (12) And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you.
