2 Thessalonians 2
(1-12) The Man of Lawlessness
Paul warns the Thessalonian Christians not to believe false teachings that the second coming of Christ has already taken place. Despite present tribulation and alarming events, Christ has not yet returned. Before He does come, the man of lawlessness – that is the Antichrist – must first appear. The Antichrist will oppose God and everything that is related to Him. He will exalt himself above all others and even sit in the temple of God, claiming to be God, and demand that others worship Him.

(13-17) Stand Firm
In light of what will happen in the future, we must hold fast to the Gospel in which we believe and we must stand firm in our faith. God and His Son, Jesus the Christ, love us. Through grace, He will give us good hope and eternal comfort, and He will establish is in every good work and word.

Favorite verse: (16) Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace.
