Hebrews 13
(1-19) Sacrifices Pleasing to God
How can we please God? First, by believing in His Son, Jesus the Christ, and then by doing the things that are detailed in this Scripture passage. We are to love others as if they were our own family, and show kindness to all those we come in contact with – even strangers. We are not to let those who are in prison and those who are mistreated be forgotten, but we are to remember them and visit them as if we were in prison with them.

We are not to love money and always be seeking to gain more material things. Instead, we are to be content with whatever we already have. For the believer, this is easier to do because we have Christ, and with Him we have everything else. Christ will never leave us nor forsake us. We can live fearlessly and confidently because Christ is helping us. With Christ as our helper, no human can hinder us. We can depend on Him because He does not change. He is the same yesterday and today and forever.

No opportunity to do good should be neglected. And whatever we have – whether time or money or talent or faith, it should be shared.

(20-21) Benediction
God desires for us to do His will and if we desire the same, He will equip us with everything good to do what is pleasing in His sight.

Favorite verse: (5) Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
