Revelation 5
(1-14) The Scroll and the Lamb
The slain Lamb is Jesus the Christ and only He is found worthy to open the scroll that is sealed with seven seals. Only He is perfectly perfect, all-powerful, and almighty. He was slain, yet conquered death, hell, sin, and all the darkness that comes with it. By the blood that was shed, He ransomed people of all kinds and made of us a kingdom and priests to God. Because the Lamb is able to open the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders who were giving God worship in the previous scene (chapter 4), increase their worship here. What’s more? They are joined in worship by many thousands of angels and by every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. The Lamb of God deserves all worship.

Favorite verse: (5) And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
