(1-8) The 144,000 of Israel Sealed
During the end times, when much harm is being done to earth and its people, God will give protection to those who are His servants. The 144,000 referenced in this chapter does not refer to all Christians who are on earth at that time, but to 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel who have remained faithful to God.
(9-17) A Great Multitude from Every Nation
When it is all said and done, the number of people who have believed in Jesus the Christ since the beginning of time will be innumerable. For the first time, all believers will be together in Heaven, giving praise and worship to God. Heaven will be an eternal home to people of all different nations, languages, colors and backgrounds.
After enduring great tribulation and hardships on earth, those who believe in Jesus the Christ will finally experience rest. God will shelter them with His presence and they will never hunger, thirst or cry anymore.
