Revelation 14
(1-5) The Lamb and the 144,000
A new song is sung in Heaven. This song can only be sung by 144,000 who have God’s name written on their foreheads and who are redeemed and undefiled. They are standing with the Lamb, who is Jesus the Christ, and they follow Him wherever He goes.

(6-13) The Messages of the Three Angels
Three angels fly overhead with distinct messages. The first angel proclaims an eternal gospel to everyone on earth, telling them to fear and worship God because the time of His judgment has come. The second angel proclaims that Babylon the great has fallen. The third angel proclaims that those who refuse to worship God and instead worship the beast, who is the Antichrist, and receive its mark will drink of God’s wrath and be tormented forever with fire and sulfur.

Once again, believers are called to endure, hold fast to their faith in Jesus, and keep the commandments of God during this time of judgment and persecution. Those who die in the Lord, for the sake of the Lord, are blessed indeed. They experience eternal rest from their labors.

(14-20) The Harvest of the Earth
The earth is reaped twice. God’s wrath is shown as a great winepress in which grapes are put and trodden out. The juice of the grapes (blood) comes up very high.

Favorite verse: (12) Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.
