(1-18) The Great Prostitute and the Beast
Each of the figures in this Scripture passage symbolize a place or a person that has been in existence, is in existence, or will be in existence in the future. The woman is called Babylon. The beast is the Antichrist. The seven heads of the beast is seven mountains and seven kings. The ten horns are also ten kings. Each of these figures will work in accordance with God’s plan and purpose for the world. God uses all of creation, that which is good and that which is bad, to show that He is sovereign and to ensure that His Words ae fulfilled.
Favorite verse: (17) For God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
