Revelation 18
(1-24) The Fall of Babylon
Babylon is declared fallen and is now a place where only unclean and detestable things dwell. Because of the great amount of immorality that has taken place there, many have become rich off of sin, and Babylon is judged and destroyed by God.

Believers who are living in Babylon are told to leave unless they get caught up in her sins and immorality and thus her punishment. Even today, God is calling us to come out of that which is ungodly and not like Him. We are not to identify with darkness, but light.

Those who became rich because of Babylon, mourn her fall, but they will be too fearful of her torment to help her. However, the saints and all those who believe in Christ rejoice over the fall of Babylon because God’s judgment against her is just. Babylon will be completely destroyed. No people, no light, no joy will be found in Babylon anymore.

Favorite verse: (4) Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues.”
