Job 1, 2
Focus Verse: And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” – Job 1:8

Satan leaves his business of going to and fro on the earth to stand before God and inquire about you.

God has plenty of good things to say about you. You have a heart that loves Him. You turn away from evil and do good. Satan thinks this is only because God has blessed you. Not so.

You do not love the blessings. You love the Blessor.

You don’t rejoice in the gifts. You rejoice in the Giver.

You don’t run after signs and wonders. You run after the One behind the signs and wonders.

Even when circumstances are not good, you believe that God is good. Even when days are not perfect, you know that God is perfect. Even when you find it hard to love yourself, you trust that God loves you.

Even if Satan were to destroy all your possessions and take away everyone you love, you would still bless the name of the Lord. God is more than enough for you. It doesn’t matter what comes your way – suffering, sadness, or sickness. He is still your Savior and your Friend. He will be with you through it all.
