Job 5, 6, 7
Focus Verse: For he wounds, but he binds up; he shatters, but his hands heal. – Job 5:18
All that God does for you, He does out of love.
Because you are His redeemed child, He reproves you. He disciplines you to make you a better disciple for Him.
God’s chastening is for your good. Therefore, do not hate it. Embrace it. It is often the tool that God uses to bring about glorious character and heavenly blessings. Chastening brings you closer to Christ. Affliction makes you more aware of His amazing grace.
Before God can make whole, He must first break. Before He can heal, He must first make sick. Before He can give comfort, He must first bring conflict. Before He can elevate, He must first humble.
Although God inflicts pain on you, He also gives relief from that pain. Although He wounds you, He also heals you. He will not leave you to suffer alone. He will support you through your chastening, and soon deliver you from it.
