Old Testament In a Year: January 14 – Job 14, 15, 16

Job 14, 15, 16
Focus Verse: “For there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease. – Job 14:7

You are like a tree planted by flowing streams of water. After a few years, your leaves will wither. Trouble will cause your fruit to die.

But there is hope for you. Death is not the end. It is only the beginning of a better and more fruitful life.

When your body is laid low on earth, your soul rises high in glory. When you breathe your last down here, you take your first breath up there.

You will rise again. Sprouting, budding.

You will live again. Putting out branches that will never be cut down, shoots that will not cease, and roots that will never grow old.
