Old Testament In a Year: January 16 – Job 20, 21

Job 20, 21
Focus Verse: He will fly away like a dream and not be found; he will be chased away like a vision of the night. – Job 20:8

The jubilation of those who do wrong is short-lived. The joy of those who fail to fear God only lasts a moment. They rise, then fall. Vanishing like a dream, fading away like a mirage.

Wealth gained from wickedness lasts only a short time. Pleasures gained from evil soon turn to displeasure and misery.

But you will remain forever. You will shine like the brightness of the sky above, like the stars forever and ever. Your goodness will be like light at dawn, that grows brighter and brighter until full day.
