Job 32, 33
Focus Verse: He has redeemed my soul from going down into the pit, and my life shall look upon the light.’ – Job 33:28

Sorrow is not always caused by sin. God may allow you to be afflicted – in body, in emotions, in mind – for the improvement of your soul.

When you realize your helplessness, you also realize your need for a Helper. When you realize your weakness, you also realize your need for strength from above. When you realize your sinfulness, you also realize your need for a Savior.

Pain will push you closer to Christ. And the closer you get to Christ, the better your soul and spirit will be.

Once sorrow produces self-control and pain produces peace, then God will remove all afflictions because their intended work has been completed. God will redeem your soul from darkness, death, and destruction. He will restore you to righteousness. Your life will be filled with light.
