Leviticus 11, 12
Focus Verse: For I am the Lord who brought you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.” – Leviticus 11:45

Be holy, God says.

Why? you ask.

Because I am holy, He says.

God desires for you to become like Him. He will not ask you to be anything that He is not. He has redeemed you and loved you. He has called you His own, and He wants His own to reflect His goodness, grace, and glory. Nothing says you esteem someone more than imitation of them. So, imitate God.

God has chosen to be your God. He has made you His special child. He will protect you and guide you, provide for you and show you kindness, and bring all manner of blessings your way. Therefore, be holy, just as He is holy.

Come out and be separate. Touch not any unclean thing. Do not entertain unholy companions.

Live a holy life. Conduct holy conversations. Bend to His will. Imitate His nature.
