Old Testament In a Year: March 7 – Leviticus 23, 24

Leviticus 23, 24
Focus Verse: And you shall take on the first day the fruit of splendid trees, branches of palm trees and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. – Leviticus 23:40

This is the kind of God you serve – a God of feasting, of celebration, and of rest. He not only enjoys seeing you work, but He also enjoys seeing you rest. He enjoys seeing you party, and dance, and eat, and drink. He enjoys seeing you happy and rejoicing.

God was the first to work and He was the first to rest. After spending six days creating the world, God rested from working. He desires for you to do the same.
