Numbers 12, 13, 14
Focus Verse: But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.” – Numbers 13:30
What is your Promised Land? It may be earning a college degree, landing your dream job, owning your own home, or fulfilling a seemingly impossible goal.
On your way to gaining your Promised Land, you will have to overcome many difficulties. But more than anything else, you will have to overcome your fears.
The fear that you are not smart enough to earn a college degree, not privileged enough to land your dream job, not rich enough to own your own home, or not brave enough to fulfill an audacious goal. The fear that you can’t, you won’t. The fear that you aren’t able. The fear that others are smarter, are richer, are braver, are stronger, are faster, are MORE than you.
Tell your fears to be quiet. Do not let them cause you to turn back to the past when your future is so bright.
Listen to your faith.
Do not go back to your Egypt – a place of bondage and brokenness, tears and oppression, broken dreams and dashed hopes. Go forward to your Promised Land – a place of milk and honey, happiness and health, freedom and victory.
You are able to overcome.
