Old Testament In a Year: March 24 – Deuteronomy 1, 2

Deuteronomy 1, 2
Focus Verse: And in the wilderness, where you have seen how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way that you went until you came to this place.’ – Deuteronomy 1:31

As a father carries his child, so God carries you. He carries you gently through hardships and storms and dangers, safely bringing you to the place where you need to be. By His grace and goodness, you are provided for every step of your journey.

God carries you by meeting your needs and supplying your wants; defeating your enemies; and keeping you from that which seeks to hurt you. God carries you in His arms, on His shoulders, and on eagle’s wings. He carries you close to His heart.

When you feel like you can’t go on, lift your arms to God and say, Carry me Jesus. Carry me more.

When you have more questions than answers, when you feel weary and weak, when you cannot stand without falling, when you are breaking, God will carry you.
