Deuteronomy 32, 33, 34
Focus Verse: And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face. – Deuteronomy 33:10
God knew Moses face to face. He talked with him as a friend talks to a friend. When the people of Israel built the sanctuary, Moses saw God pleased. When the people of Israel constructed a golden calf, Moses saw God angry. They had a unique relationship in which neither one of them were afraid to show their feelings or emotions, and neither one of them were shy about voicing their thoughts.
You know God, but you do not yet know Him face to face. Right now, you see Him dimly as He is revealed in Scripture and in nature. One day, you will see Him clearly as He really is. Right now, you know Him in part. One day, you will know Him fully, just as He fully knows you.
Your knowledge of God (faith) will become sight. Your dim picture of Him will become crystal clear. Communication to Him through prayer, through Scripture, and through others, will become a personal, face to face encounter.
You will experience glory. You will see God.
