Old Testament In a Year: April 7 – Joshua 4, 5, 6

Joshua 4, 5, 6
Focus Verse: You shall march around the city, all the men of war going around the city once. Thus shall you do for six days. – Joshua 6:3

Has there ever been a military strategy as weird as this one? Probably not. If God had told Napoleon Bonaparte or Dwight Eisenhower or Alexander the Great to do such a repetitive, mild act, they probably would have laughed the strategy to scorn.

But Joshua didn’t laugh because his faith was not in his military might or fighting prowess. His faith was in God and God alone.

When God tells you to do something, it may not make sense. When He tells you to go somewhere, you may not know why. But don’t question His means or His methods. He knows what is best. Each of His strategies are successful. All of His plans work out.
