Old Testament In a Year: May 26 – Psalms 17, 19

Psalms 17, 19
Focus Verse: The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. – Psalm 19:8

The precepts of God are right for you, and His commandments are pure. When you obey them, your heart is joyful; your soul is revived; and your eyes are enlightened.

The commandments of God are not difficult to understand or obey. His precepts are not unreasonable for you to follow. When your heart is right with God, you understand that serving the Lord is freedom, but serving sin is bondage. Following the way of Heaven leads to satisfaction and joy, but following the way of the world leads to discontentment and grief.

God wants the best for you, and that’s why He gave you the best commands to obey.
