Old Testament In a Year: June 20 – Proverbs 27, 28, 29

Proverbs 27, 28, 29
Focus Verse: The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. – Proverbs 28:1

The righteous are not bold because of their own goodness. They are bold because of the God who lives in them.

To the righteous, God has not given a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and love and self-control. When one has a personal relationship with God and lives daily in His grace and love, they will never have reason to be afraid of anything or anyone. They know their Savior and Father can help them meet any difficulty, carry them safely through any storm, and lift them victoriously over any difficulty.

When you become a child of God, you will no longer be a slave to fear. Instead, you will be made righteous in God’s perfection and have His strength to live fearlessly and walk boldly.
