Old Testament In a Year: June 21 – Proverbs 30, 31

Proverbs 30, 31
Focus Verse: Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy. – Proverbs 31:9

These words were spoken by a mother to her son, who was a king, but they apply to us all. Regardless of what your status is in life, you have a responsibility to not only speak up for yourself, but to also speak up for others.

Be a mouth for those who are mute; an ear for those who are deaf; an eye for those who are blind; hands and feet for those who are physically impaired.

Advocate for the rights of those who are destitute. Defend the rights of those who are poor and needy. We are all children of God and siblings of one another. Our Heavenly Father requires us to be concerned about others by doing justly, loving kindness, and walking humbly with Him.
