Solomon is known as the wisest man who ever lived which is what makes his downfall so shocking and sad. Nehemiah 13:26 tells us that “among many nations there was no king like him, who was beloved of his God; and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless pagan women caused even him to sin.” Read all about this unfortunate happening in 1 Kings 11:1-8.

Most young Jesus followers are always being told that the Bible is the most important book and should be read daily. But why? What makes the Bible inspired? What gives it authority and why should it be obeyed?
Authority basically means the right to judge the actions of others or to enforce something. To say that the Bible has authority is to say it has the power to declare what is true and what is not true and it has the power to command us to be obedient to Christ and His laws.
As the only perfect person to ever walk the earth, one would think that the last type of people Jesus the Christ would want his name associated with were sinners and transgressors. Yet that is exactly how He is depicted in Matthew 11:19:
The Bible tells us in Galatians 4:24 about the nine fruits of the Spirit:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
Each time Easter comes around I am reminded of its true meaning. For lots of people, it’s a time of purity, of putting God first in their lives and thinking of Him and, oh, yeah, there’s a crazy abundance of chocolate bunnies and peeps! (Smile 🙂
I like all three of the evangelism methods and will certainly try using all of them when I witness to others but I think the one that best suits me is Servant Evangelism.
Servant Evangelism is when Christians show God’s love by doing services that benefit others without expecting or accepting anything back in return. Steve Sjögren calls them a “conspiracy of kindness”. This is a great way to show unbelievers that Christians are not selfish and do not only do things for ourselves, but God’s love reaches far and wide and is for everyone. When unbelievers see God’s love in action, they may become more open to hearing and accepting His Son.
