Women of the Word (Recap 14)
When God created woman, He made a very special creation. He made us beautiful and unique. He made us strong and resilient, gutsy and spirited, sassy and sweet. And He loves us. God really, really loves His girls. And the Bible is filled with many women – some good, some bad – all of who God made, who God loved, and who we can learn many lessons from.
So far in our Women of the Word series, we have looked at over 140 different female figures in the Bible. They all have something to teach us. So, (drum roll, please). Here is our fourteenth series recap:
- Rufus’ mother did not only take care of her own.
- Shallum’s daughters worked.
- The ministering women in the tent of meeting gave to the work of the Lord and they were engaged in ministry.
- Shelomith was not responsible for her son’s behavior and she did not question, object to, or try to stop God’s will from being done.
- Sheerah was a city architect and designer.
- The singing and dancing women were happy for the success of another.
- Sisera’s mother lost the one she loved.
- The foreign women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab were a negative influence on the people of God.
- Zeresh was initially an enabler, but then she got smart.
- The young maidens stopped to answer a question and they gave accurate information.
